|Single Day||Enjoy Midwest Furfest for a day for a discounted price. Available Friday, Saturday or Sunday, this level includes admission to Midwest Furfest for one day through the next morning (10AM) and a copy of our Program Book and Pocket Program. This level is not available online and can only be purchased the day it's going to be used. If you decide to stay longer, you'll pay just the difference between the daily badge and the registration level you would like. Note: no discount from a night badge can be applied to single day badge purchases.||TBA|
|Minor (7-12)||For our younger members that are accompanied by their parents/guardians, we offer a discount on our standard membership. This includes admission to Midwest Furfest for the full length or a single day and a copy of our Program Book and Pocket Program. This level is not available online.||TBA|
|Minor (6 or younger)||For our youngest members, that are accompanied by their parents/guardians, we offer a free badge that they can proudly wear around the convention. This level is not available online.||TBA|
|Attending Parent||For those parents of minor children that aren't part of our group, we appreciate you willing to spend part of your weekend with us and want you to enjoy the convention with your child or children. For online preregistration, we accept the four major credit/debit cards, Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express. We do not accept mailed in payments nor Paypal.
For onsite registration, we accept cash (US currency only), personal check, and travelers check along with the four major credit/debit cards, Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express.
Along with credit/debit cards that are are one of the four major brands, we also accept prepaid/gift cards as long as they have one of the four credit card logos on it. If you do not have access to a credit or debit card to use for payment for preregistration, you may purchase one of these cards at many retailers.
For those coming from a foreign countries, currency exchange is available at O'Hare International Airport (via the free hotel shuttle) at Terminal 5 in both the ticketing and baggage levels (before you would have to go through security) between 8AM and 8PM. Full information can be found here.

Nope. If you will only be attending for one day, there is no need to pre-register. Just come to Registration at the convention and we will be happy to provide you with a Single-Day Membership. Single-day memberships are available only at the door
I am under the age of 18 and I would like to attend the convention without my parent or guardian or my child is under 18 and would like to attend. What should I do?
Children under the age of 18 are not required to have photo ID to register.
If the parent or guardian is attending along with the child, just come to registration with your child. No special form is required.
If the child is 17, they may attend without a parent or guardian, but we require a completed and notarized Parental Permission Form to be brought to us. If the child does not have this form when they arrive or if it's not completed and notarized, they can not register. We will not accept parental permission granted over the phone or in an email. If the child happen to turn 18 during the convention, we'll be happy to provide them with a new badge as a birthday gift, however, we will issue him or her a minor badge at first (and they must have your parental form still) if they check in before their 18th birthday.
If the child is under 17, they can only attend with a parent, guardian or a designated adult. If this adult is not their parent or guardian, we require a completed and notarized Short Term Guardian Form to be brought to us. Please note, this form is required to be signed by the parent/guardian AND the supervising adult in the presence of the notary. Also, the supervising adult must be at least 18 years old. If the child do not have this form when the child arrive or if it's not completed and notarized, they can not register. If the child brings the wrong form to us, they also can not register. We will not accept parental permission granted over the phone or in an email. We will also not accept parents of a friend acting as the supervising adult without this form.
Parents, guardians, and supervising adults are requested to stay on property while their charges are at the convention. Younger attendees that need supervision should be with their parent, guardian or supervising adult at all times. As a courtesy, parents, guardians and supervising adults are offered badges for free so they may stay with their child in convention space.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter and we apologize for the extra work, but unfortunate incidents at other conventions have forced us to take this measure. These policies are in place to protect the convention, it's staff and volunteers, the child and the parents.
That means that you have gotten the parental permission form validated by a notary public. A notary will put a special stamp on the permission form to confirm that it really was signed by your parent or guardian, rather than by some random person with attractive penmanship. Notary services can generally be found at places like banks, post offices, copy shops and insurance agencies. If you're not sure where to find a notary in your neighborhood, the internet is an excellent place to start.
PLEASE NOTE: We will NOT accept the form if it hasn't been notarized, period. It may be difficult to locate a notary on short notice and they will want the guardian there, so please plan ahead.
My child is under the age of 6 and thus is unable to partake in any of the programming or events. Do I need to buy a membership for them?
Children under the age of 6 accompanied by parent or guardian will be admitted to the convention free of charge.
Children between the ages of 7 and 12 accompanied by parent or guardian will be admitted to the convention at half price. Memberships for these children can only be purchased at the door.
Confirmation emails are sent to all attendees upon registration, but sometimes they get lost or routed into your spam folder. If you have registered and have not yet received confirmation, you may send us an email inquiring about the status of your registration. You may also log into the registration system with the email address and password you created to check if you have purchased a membership. Just click on the "Registration" button and if you see a green check by the listing for Midwest Furfest 2016, your membership is confirmed.
Oh, absolutely not! A large portion of our memberships are sold at the door. All you have to do is come to Registration, pay your membership fees, and off you go to have fun! Although you won't get the nifty $5 - 10 online registration discount, we're still happy to welcome you to Midwest Furfest.
I registered for Midwest FurFest online but now I find I am unable to attend. Is it possible to get a refund?
We will be happy to issue refunds until the end of online registration (November 18th). Please email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. After the close or online registration (November 18th), you can request a rollover credit for 2017. This request must be done before December 19th. Again, email us at email@example.com.
We will be happy to change the name on your badge until the end of online registration (November 18th). Please email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. After that time, you will have to pick up your exisiting badge before the name can be changed.
Now you sit back and pat yourself on the back. Not only did you save money by registering online, but you saved yourself precious time at the convention. Your confirmation email will arrive soon. Remember, whether you registered online or registering at the door, you must present a government issued photo ID to pick up your badge.
You can upgrade your membership at any time until online registration is closed (November 18th) by logging into the registration system with your email and password. If you would like to upgrade at the convention, you do not have to pick up your original badge in pre-registration. Once at the door registration is open, just hop into the sponsor line and proceed up. You don't have to stop at a terminal either, just let the friendly registration staff member know that you want to upgrade and we'll be happy to help you. Please have your ID and payment ready.
If you want to change it before the convention, please email your request to us before the end of online registration (November 18th). Once at the convention, bring your current badge and ID with you to the at the door registration line and we'll be happy to print you a new badge.
Registration will be located in the United room on the Entry level of the Hyatt (one level below the main lobby). Tenative hours are as follows:
• Preregistered sponsor / shiny sponsors: 4:30pm - 11:00pm
• Preregistered attendees: 5:00pm - 11:00pm
• At the door registration: 6:00pm - 11:00pm
• All: 10:00am - 9:00pm
• All: 10:00am - 6:00pm
• All: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Many people think the best time to go to registration is right when it opens for the day. However, if you wait a little, the lines will be shorter, especially for those that have pre-registered. Generally the registration lines start to die down about an hour after we open. Poke your head over to register later in the evening and enjoy the shorter lines.
If you happen to arrive Friday or Saturday night after registration is closed, you may go to Convention Operations (located in Ronald Regan room on the Lobby level) to purchase a temporary badge. You'll be asked to fill out a form, read over the code of conduct and pay $20 for a night badge. Even if you registered online, you will be asked to pay this amount. The next day, when registration is open, you may bring your night badge back to registration and either collect the $20 if you have registered online or use the $20 as credit to purchase a full weekend badge. Please don't lose the badge as credit or refund won't be given if it is lost. We're sorry, but if you have received a night badge, you may not apply the credit towards a single day badge.
Sorry, no. For security reasons, we can only issue one badge per person. Many of the artists in attendance will be happy to create as many badges for you as you like - we urge you to visit them in the Artists' Alley and the Dealers' Den.
